Approaching the mass of Christian literature is intimidating. On the one hand, the majority of so-called Christian books aren't worth the paper they contain. On the other hand, some of the greatest theologians are very hard to read. Either way, I hear this question more than any other: "What are the top books?" Impossible. Different situations call for different books. The variables are endless. Nevertheless, we could at least move toward a working list.
So this is what I want us to do. Give me your top books in the following categories:
