Diligence vs. Haste

The plans of the diligent lead surely to advantage, but everyone who is hasty comes surely to poverty. Proverbs 21:5

There is a great difference between diligence and haste, and it is imperative we know the difference. The diligent place a premium on weighing situations and thinking them through (note - "plans"). The hasty just do things. They are always in a hurry, but never really know where they are going. The diligent on the other hand are expending just as much energy (if not more), but they know what they are aiming at. They have thought through the situation using biblical principles and seasoned counsel. I'm sure there is much more to the difference between these two, but this is a start.
