Resurrection

-----
Jesus said to her, "(a) I am the resurrection and the life; (b) he who believes in Me will live even if he dies, and (c) everyone who lives and believes in Me will never die." John 11:25-26

This verse contains the entire structure of resurrection.

(a) - Resurrection life is not a force, but a Person. Christ's resurrection stands at the center of the life that belongs to the Christian.
(c) - Having been united by faith to the resurrected Christ (Colossians 2:12), we are spiritually resurrected and seated with Christ (Ephesians 2:6). This happens in regeneration.
(b) - Having been united by faith to the resurrected Christ, we will be physically raised from the dead and given a resurrection body (1 Corinthians 15:42-44). This happens in glorification (or "redemption" cf Romans 8:23).

Summary: Through union to the resurrected Christ we are spiritually raised, one day to be physically raised.
